Victoria College’s Workforce & Continuing Education Department will offer a Theatrical Makeup Workshop on Thursday, Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in partnership with the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts.
Students will gain a basic overview of various aspects of theatrical makeup during the five-hour session led by Dr. Gino Chelakis, retired theater teacher and current contractor with Techland Houston. Topics will include The Best Basic You (highlighting, contouring and correcting), Creation of a Character (from aging to aliens) and The Silicone Solution (advanced scars, wounds and special effects).
The cost for the workshop is $115. The workshop will be held at the Welder Center, located at 214 N. Main Street in Victoria.
