Victoria College’s 2018-19 Lyceum Lecture Series will conclude on Monday, Feb. 18 with comedian-TV series host James Cunningham presenting “Funny Money” at 12:30 p.m. at VC’s Student Center.

Cunningham’s “Funny Money” presentation addresses the growing problem of young people leaving school unprepared for the day-to-day financial realities of paying rent, properly using credit cards and budgeting for necessities.

“We realize many schools will be off for President’s Day and hope students in Victoria Independent School District and other school districts will take advantage of the opportunity to experience Cunningham’s free ‘Funny Money’ presentation,” said VC Marketing & Communications Director Darin Kazmir.

Cunningham has been featured on Last Comic Standing, Just for Laughs and Comedy Now. He also hosts Food Network Canada’s and The Cooking Channel’s “Eat Street,” a Canadian television series that features top street food vendors and inspired his “Eat Street” cookbook.

The event is free and open to the public.

Victoria College’s Student Center is located on VC’s Main Campus at 2200 E. Red River Street in Victoria.
