VC offering ‘Public Service and Healthcare Showcase’ on Feb. 21

RC 5 Victoria College’s Respiratory Care Program will be one of the various programs and courses featured at the “Public Service and Healthcare Showcase” on Feb. 21 at VC’s Main Campus.

Victoria College will host a free “Public Service and Healthcare Showcase” from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21 at VC’s Health Sciences Center and Allied Health Building.

The public is invited to the come-and-go open house event, which will offer information on Victoria College’s public service and healthcare programs and courses that lead to career opportunities for jobs in high demand in the Crossroads region.

“We welcome the public to come to this free event and gain some insight on the numerous public service and healthcare programs and courses Victoria College offers,” said VC Community Outreach Specialist Jenny Galvan. “This will give current VC students, high school students and their parents a great opportunity to see firsthand what career path opportunities are available here at VC.”

Victoria College programs and courses to be showcased at the event are:

  • Medical Assisting
  • Medical Coding
  • Medication Aide for Nurse Aide
  • Nurse Aide
  • Nursing – Professional
  • Nursing – Vocational
  • Pharmacy Technician
  • Phlebotomy
  • Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Respiratory Care
  • Veterinary Assistant
  • Criminal Justice
  • Emergency Medical Services
  • Law Enforcement

Guests will have the opportunity to complete a free brief career assessment and receive one-on-one assistance with Victoria College admissions, advising and financial aid.

Guests seeking assistance with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid to Apply for Financial Aid (FAFSA)  should provide a 2017 tax return and Social Security number, as well as a parent’s 2017 tax return, if applicable.

Victoria College’s Health Sciences Center and Allied Health Building are located on VC’s Main Campus at 2200 E. Red River Street in Victoria.
