Museum to host Texas Independence Day Book Festival March 2

Victoria College’s Museum of the Coastal Bend invites the community to celebrate Texas authors at the Texas Independence Day Book Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 2.

The festival will offer a day of literary events, including book signings, individual book sales, and engaging author discussions. Attendees can enjoy readings from notable authors, including:

  • Keynote speaker Louise O'Connor, ranching family historian and author
  • Charles Alcorn, former UHV professor
  • Cheryl Johnson, author and photographer
  • d.j. Rangel, essayist and novelist
  • Amy Reid, archaeologist and author

Funding for the event is provided in part by the Anne Kouba Memorial Fund.

The festival is free and open to the public, with events taking place at the museum and the VC Library, both located on VC’s Main Campus at 2200 E. Red River St.
