Museum’s Hands-On History event features Indigenous Snoqualmie artist

Victoria College’s Museum of the Coastal Bend will feature guest speaker Nychelle Schneider for the “Hands-On History: Discover the Snoqualmie Tribe” event on Friday, May 3 from 4-6 p.m.

Schneider is a graduate student and indigenous Snoqualmie artist. Currently third speaker of her native Lushootseed, she advocates for indigenous and disabled communities. Schneider will demonstrate some of her cultural artwork and share perspectives on indigenous practices.

The event, which includes a hands-on tea-making activity, is free and open to the public. Space is limited to 20 participants. To ensure a spot, sign up in advance at MuseumOfTheCoastalBend.org or contact Claudia Moseley at (361) 582-2559.
