The New Student Information Session (NSIS) is designed to acquaint new
students with the Victoria College campus and the various resources that
can enhance both personal development and academic success.
All incoming freshmen are required to participate in a
face-to-face New Student Information Session prior to registration. In
order to participate in a New Student Information Session, students must
first:

Submit assessment scores; and,
- Submit an official high school transcript or GED certificate.
Once students have completed these admission requirements, registration
can be completed in the Advising & Counseling Services Office or
through Web Registration, if eligible.
Session Registration
The NSIS form is currently under construction.
Session Format
Each session consist of:

A 45-minute presentation about VC and our academic degrees and resources
-
A 30-minute tour of the campus to show buildings and campus layout (dress comfortably)

A 45-minute presentation on the Pirate Portal and online registration
- A 45-minute presentation from the Financial Aid Office
Due to each VC location (Main Campus, Calhoun County Center and Gonzales
Center) varying in size, NSIS Sessions can take up to three hours to
complete.
On the main campus, NSIS Sessions begin in the Student Center meeting
rooms and end in the Student Center computer lab. Snacks, drinks will be
provided. Occassional door prizes are also available.
