Nurse Aide

VC’s Workforce & Continuing Education Department offers training for a career as a nurse aide. Nurse aides perform basic nursing care such as bathing, feeding, and grooming, under the direction of a nurse.

Upon successful completion of your training, you will be eligible to take the Texas Nurse Aide Registry Exam.

Both the classroom and nursing skills laboratory components of nurse aide training are conducted on campus at VC. The clinical portion is conducted in area health care agencies.
