If you are driving from outside Victoria County, please be familiar with the location of The Victoria College and the Testing Center-CEC Bldg. You can get driving directions from www.googlemaps.com.

The Victoria College Schools of Vocational Nursing have scheduled entrance testing for admission into the FALL 2012 class. You may only take this test twice between September 1, 2011 and August 31, 2012. The exam is 2 hours and 45 minutes. Allow 3.5 hours for the testing session.

If you need to pay cash or with a check, please go in person to the Payments Department located in the Administration building. Registration is not completed via telephone.
Pre-registration for exams is required. You must pay the test fee the same day you register in order to reserve your seat in a test session. All test sessions have limited enrollment. Early registration and payment is strongly recommended.
NOTE: DET testing will NOT be available during campus closures, final exam testing, Spring Break, Christmas break or government holidays.
Please call in advance to check test date availability if you are traveling from outside Victoria County.
A satisfactory score on this exam is required to apply for admission to the Victoria College Vocational Nursing Program.
The exam is designed to evaluate academic skills of prospective vocational nursing students. Because of the difficulty of the exam and the limited number of attempts allowed, students are strongly encouraged to study for the exam. The four areas tested include:
- Essential Math Skills
- English
- Reading Comprehension
- Critical Thinking Skills
You may take the exam a maximum of two (2) times during a testing year (Sept.-August).
There will be a $15 charge to make changes to your test registration (date/time). There are no refunds on testing fees.
Be sure to bring your Photo ID, the paid receipt, and your Social Security number to the test session.
The DET exam is administered at the Testing Center in Room 201 of the Continuing Education Center building on the Main Campus, unless otherwise noted.
Walk-in Testing Times are NOT offered for the DET exam.
