Terms and Conditions for Online Ordering

BY PLACING YOUR ORDER THROUGH OUR WEBSITE
YOU AGREE TO THE THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Sales Terms

All sales are subject to the current refund policy.  Refund dates are printed on the bottom of your sales receipt which will be included with your order.  When ordering your books pay particular attention to the course and section number, be sure you are ordering for the class and section that you are registered for.  Instructors choose the textbook and different textbooks may be required for different sections of the same course.  General merchandise may be returned or exchanged within ten (10) days from the date of sale.  Items that are blister packaged or otherwise sealed can only be returned if the factory packaging is intact and unopened.  Defective items have an in-store warranty exchange period of ten (10) days from the dates of sale.  After ten (10) days have elapsed, you must contact the manufacturer and seek warranty service under the terms of the product’s warranty.  Certain items may be marked as “no return if unwrapped” or “not returnable” and these disclaimers will be strictly adhered to.

  • If a book is out-of-stock and does not ship with the rest of your order, you will not be charged for out-of-stock item(s), but consider your order fulfilled and re-order the out-of-stock item at a later time.
  • We do not backorder textbooks nor do we hold orders until stock arrives. Prices are subject to change without notice.
  • If a book is out-of-stock when you place your order and the cost of the book increases with the next shipment we receive, you will be charged the new increased price of the textbook.

Webmate Order

You may browse textbooks by course identification and section.
All online orders are considered pending orders subject to available inventory.  When placing your order you may have the option of selecting a textbook condition as new preferred or used preferred.  If one option is not available, then we do not have books available in that condition.  Our inventory is subject to in-store sales and prior orders.  The bookstore will attempt to fill your order with the condition you have selected, however store inventory is subject to change between the time you place your order and the time the order is filled.  We reserve the right to substitute inventory in the opposite condition you indicated as preferred to fulfill your order.  By selecting new preferred or used preferred you authorize the bookstore to substitute the opposite condition if the preferred condition is not available and make adjustments for the total charge to your credit card. Please note that actual charges to your credit card may differ from the prices quoted in your pending order.  The substitution of available stock in a different condition than ordered or the deletion of a title from your order may cause actual charges to be higher or lower than listed below.  If the book shows “Out of stock” then we do not have any inventory and you should check back daily to see if the book has arrived.

After you submit your order you will receive a confirmation email from bookstore@victoriacollege.edu.  Add this email address to your address book to ensure delivery of the confirmation email or check you SPAM/BULK email folder if you do not receive the confirmation email from the bookstore in your INBOX email folder.  You may also print your order after it is complete from your web browser or save the webpage as a file for future reference.  Record your order number; you must refer to it if you require additional customer service with your order.

Payment Terms

Credit Card is the preferred method.
We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express.  You can use your debit or check card if it has a MasterCard or Visa logo.
Financial Aid charges are available only to The Victoria College students.  You must be registered and your tuition must be paid for your financial aid award to be available for bookstore charges.  You must submit your Social Security number to process your order.  By selecting this payment option you are authorizing the bookstore to charge your financial aid award for the actual cost of your order.
UHV book loans will be distributed to you by check from the University.  We can not charge your order to your book loan or other financial aid awards if you are a UHV student.

Shipping Terms

You have two options:  UPS Ground or In Store Pickup.
In Store Pickup is at our physical location in Victoria.  Books will not be available for pickup at satellite campuses (i.e. Gonzales, Calhoun, Hallettsville, Cuero, Sugar Land, or Cinco Ranch)
Orders received by 12:00 PM (CST), Sunday through Wednesday should ship within 48 hours. Orders placed after 12:00 PM (CST), Wednesday through Saturday should ship by following Tuesday. All orders charged to financial aid will require a signature for delivery.  You must be available to sign for the package. All customers should consider shipping their orders to a location where they will be available during the day.  A work address may be used if you will be there during the day to receive your shipment.
Visit
UPS to calculate delivery times from Victoria, TX 77901 to your location or click here to view the map.
You will receive your tracking number by email when the order is shipped. If you have a special delivery request (i.e. shipper release - leave at door if not home, etc) please enter it in the shipping comments section at checkout. Note that if you request a shipper release, so that the driver will deliver without obtaining a signature, this constitutes proof-of-delivery and NO claim for lost or stolen packages can be filed. Our experience has been that UPS drivers will use their discretion and leave a package if no one is available to sign, only when they feel the location is reasonably secure. Deliveries to apartment complexes are often left at the leasing office when the tenant is not home. We will ship to the address you provide. It must be a valid physical address that UPS delivers to. If you change the delivery location to an alternate address, refuse the package, provide incorrect shipping information, or take any other action that causes additional charges from UPS, you will be billed for the actual charges incurred in addition to the regular shipping and handling charge. We are not responsible for lost packages. Contact UPS at 1-800-742-5877.
