You're Admitted, What's Next?

Ready to move forward with enrolling at Victoria College? Once an application to Victoria College has been submitted, a variety of student services are available to help students prepare for College. Refer to this checklist to assist your student with the enrollment process.


Orientation

All admitted High School students taking Dual Credit are required to attend a Dual Credit Orientation.

All incoming freshmen with zero college credit hours are required to attend a New Student Information Session (NSIS).

Financial Aid and Scholarships

There are a variety of financial aid programs to help most students cover the cost of their education. Applying by the financial aid priority dates for each semester is critical to every student in need of financial assistance.

Students can use the calculator to get a preliminary estimate of federal and institutional aid eligibility.



Academic Advising 

Victoria College's Advising & Counseling Services Office offers a range of services to VC students, including academic advising, career planning, transfer assistance and referral services. VC's academic advisors can help you choose an area of study, determine which courses you need to take, and start planning to transfer to a university.


Testing

Entering students may be required to take placement exams to determine the level of college coursework they will enroll in for their first semester. In addition, students who have not yet met TSI requirements, as outlined by the State of Texas, may also be required to take additional exams before registering for classes.
