Registration underway for Electrical, Truck Driving courses

Registration is underway for two Victoria College Workforce & Continuing Education courses offered this semester at three locations.

These courses are:

  • Electrical Level 2 offered at VC’s Calhoun County Center from 6-9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, Feb. 16-June 15. The course will also be taught at the VC Gonzales Workforce Training Center from 6-10 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Feb. 17-May 14. Students wishing to enroll in this course must first have successfully completed Electrical Level 1. Electrical Level 2 is a study in alternating current, motors theory and application, circuit breakers and fuses, conductor installations, terminations and splices, conduit bending, grounding and bonding, and pull and junction boxes
  • Commercial Truck Driving begins at VC’s Main Campus, on Monday, March 30, and at VC’s Gonzales Center on Monday, April 13. During the seven-week course, students will experience both classroom and behind-the wheel driving activities

These are noncredit courses – they do not apply toward a credit degree, credit certificate or academic transfer. However, these are Workforce & Continuing Education courses that lead to a nationally recognized certificate or state credential.
