Strategic Plan

The Strategic Planning Process

The strategic planning process is guided by the President and strategic planning teams and is based upon a systematic three-year cycle. The strategic plan is designed to ensure that systematic, institution-wide reviews occur on a regular and ongoing basis. The Strategic Planning Teams are led by the President of the College and are composed of faculty and staff representing all areas of the institution.

In fall 2012, strategic planning teams were charged by the President of the College with reviewing the previous plan’s findings, past committee recommendations, and additional institutional data. Victoria College faculty and administration determined that the three goals under the previous plan were still relevant. Strategic planning teams were asked to identify and recommend new action plans for these goals.

Proposed action plans were submitted to the Administrative Council and the Victoria College Board of Trustees for approval. The new 2012-2015 Victoria College Strategic Plan was approved in January, 2013 and implementation of the new approved plan began immediately. New committees comprised of membership from across the campus formed to develop associated activities, detailed plans, and timelines for each strategic plan action item. The 2012-2015 Victoria College Strategic Plan strategically positions the college to foster student success, meet community needs and insure institutional excellence.
