Victoria College Tutoring Center
Victoria College offers free tutoring services to all students who need academic assistance. Student Support Services provides tutors in several locations on the main campus and on both the Gonzales and Calhoun centers. The centers have tutors on duty to cover the basic academic courses such as English, math, sciences, social and behavioral sciences, and basic computer courses. The Reading Room offers a quiet place to read and/or study without the distractions of a busy Center. Science tutoring is available in the Health Sciences Center, room 121C. The Main Tutoring Center and the Reading/Writing Center are located in JH102 from Monday through Friday and in the Health Sciences Center 121C on Saturdays.

Students who wish to work as tutors are encouraged to apply early each semester for these paid positions. For additional information please contact the Tutoring Center by phone or e-mail. Tutors must have an instructor's recommendation and achieve CRLA Level I Certification in the first two semesters they tutor to ensure the quality of support services offered.
The Tutoring Centers strive to meet the needs of VC students in a variety of ways. Computers and printers, copy machines, resource textbooks and materials, and a friendly atmosphere await. The expanded Website provides information and handouts available for printing. The Reading Room has a selection of books for in-house reading or check out. Please stop by and see what the Tutoring Centers can offer you.
