VC offering new Intermediate Riding Clinics

Victoria College will offer Total Control Intermediate Riding Clinics on Jan. 28, Feb. 18 and March 11 in Room 221 of VC’s Emerging Technology Complex located at 7403 Lone Tree Road in Victoria.

All classes will meet from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $250.

The new one-day course is designed for riders who want to improve their skills or for riders who are seeking their motorcycle license. The course meets Department of Public Safety requirements for obtaining a Texas Class M license and, with prior court approval, would suffice for ticket dismissal.

“We are very excited to offer the Total Control Intermediate Riding Clinic which will give experienced motorcyclists the option to attend a one-day intermediate course to obtain a Texas Class M license instead of the 2½-day basic course,” said Mary Pullin, program coordinator for Victoria College.

Students must provide their own two-wheel motorcycle or scooter along with protective riding gear. The motorcycle or scooter must be in good condition, street-legal, registered, licensed and insured.

Students must pass a qualifying exercise at the beginning of the class to participate.

VC will also offer its basic rider course for beginners starting in January. Visit VictoriaCollege.edu/MotorcycleSafety for dates of the basic course classes.

For more information or to register, call (361) 582-2528 or email Mary.Pullin@VictoriaCollege.edu.
