Getting Started

Preparing to attend college can be overwhelming and intimidating for many people. The Victoria College staff is here to help you get started on your education.

Explore Your Options

We welcome you to browse The Victoria College Web site to explore the Educational Options and Programs of Study offered at VC. If you are interested in receiving more information about specific programs, please complete the Ask VC form and we will send you the requested information. You may also contact the Pre-College Programs Office at (361) 485-6823 or via e-mail at precollegeprograms@victoriacollege.edu to get in touch with a college specialist who can assist you with your higher education opportunities. 

Steps for Admission to The Victoria College

  1. Submit your Application for Admission.
  2. Apply for Financial Aid.
  3. Submit an official high school transcript with graduation date or a copy of your GED certificate to the Admissions & Records Office. Transferring students with 12 or more credit hours must only provide official transfer transcripts.
  4. Provide Assessment Testing scores (THEA or Alternative Assessment) unless exempt or waived. Students with exemptions must provide exempting scores.
  5. Meet with a VC Counselor or Advisor to discuss your educational plans.
  6. Contact the Admissions & Records Office to confirm your admissions status.
  7. Attend a New Student Orientation session.
  8. Register for classes.
