Automatic Admission - Students who successfully complete the Academy, earning a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on all Academy coursework, will be eligible for automatic admission to TAMUK and their corresponding engineering specialty program.
Personalized Advising - Students will be required to meet with their Academic Advisor each semester to ensure they are fully supported and enrolled in the correct coursework.
Networking & Social Events - Explore what TAMUK has to offer, see the campus and build connections with current students, faculty and future employers.
Reverse Transfer - Students who have transferred to TAMUK prior to completing an associate degree at VC can transfer course work back to VC to receive their associate degree.
Scholarships - In addition to financial aid, scholarship opportunities will be available to eligible students enrolled in the Academy.
Joint Admission - Students in the Academy will be considered students of both institutions. Students will also have access to additional facilities and programs offered by VC and TAMUK that may include, but are not limited to:
- Concurrent Enrollment - Enroll at both institutions at the same time
- TAMUK student ID and email
- Access to the TAMUK libraries online, computer labs, and facilities
- Access to TAMUK tutoring and Career Services
