TSI Assessment 2.0

The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment 2.0 is a state-required placement exam that checks your current skill level in reading, writing, and math.

Before you can register for the TSI Assessment, Texas state law requires you to complete a Pre-Assessment Activity (PAA). This activity introduces you to the test format, provides practice questions, and offers resources to help you prepare for the exam. Follow the steps below to complete your PAA and register for the exam.

Note: Some students may be exempt from taking this test based on high school grades or SAT/ACT scores.

  • Step 1: Complete the Pre-Assessment Activity (PAA).

  • Step 2: Register for the TSI Assessment.

  • Step 3: Pay for your exam.
