VC’s Vice President of Student Services elected to NCCHC Board of Directors

Dr. Marisa Pierce

Victoria College’s Vice President of Student Services, Dr. Marisa Pierce, was recently installed as a member of the National Community College Hispanic Council (NCCHC) Board of Directors for the 2024-25 academic year.

The NCCHC is an affiliate of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and is “the nation’s premier organization for preparation and support of Hispanic leaders in America’s community colleges,” according to the organization’s website.

As an elected member of the NCCHC, Pierce will serve a two-year term. She is also a 2017 graduate of the NCCHC Leadership Fellowship Program.

“It is a tremendous honor to be elected to serve on the NCCHC Board of Directors,” said Pierce. “As a graduate of the NCCHC Leadership Fellowship Program, I have witnessed firsthand the organization’s commitment to empowering Hispanic leaders in community colleges. I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent Victoria College on a national level and to advocate for the success of our students.”

Pierce joined Victoria College in May 2024. In her role as Vice President of Student Services, she serves on VC’s Administrative Council and provides strategic leadership to the Division of Student Services.

Pierce previously served in the inaugural role of Associate Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management at Dallas College during a successful single-accreditation transition. Prior to that, she was the Vice President of Student Services and Enrollment Management at North Lake College within the Dallas County Community College System.
