Together, this group has 132 combined years of service to VC
Victoria College recently honored five longtime faculty members with the title of professor emeritus.
Retired instructors Heidi Ajrami and Joyce Harper, and retiring professors Robert Hodde, Ann Kapp and Joe Sekul, were recognized at VC’s Commencement Ceremonies on May 17. Together, they have 132 combined years of service.
Ajrami taught English for 25 years; Harper taught nursing for 29 years; Hodde taught drama and speech for 27 years; Kapp taught history for 15 years; and Sekul taught government for 36 years.
Victoria College established the Professor Emeritus Program in 2011 to recognize retiring VC professors who have served as full-time faculty members for at least 15 years and have made significant contributions to the college’s educational mission and goals.
