Victoria College Foundation awards more than $20,000 in employee grants

The Victoria College Foundation recently awarded more than $20,000 in professional and program development grants to VC employees to support innovation, enhance learning opportunities and strengthen community outreach.

Grant recipients include:

  • Law Enforcement Academy – James Martinez, $3,519.54 for protective gear and training knives
  • Physical Therapist Assistant Program – Marisol Artiga, $1,719.50 for a Wilma Wound Foot model and ultrasound transducers
  • Division of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences – Karen Hagan, Melissa Balli and Rachel Li, $2,890 for promotional items and travel for dual credit high school student visits
  • Fine Arts Department – Jenny Reed, $3,500 funding for a workshop, exhibit and online exhibit database to create awareness of VC art classes
  • Adult Education – Tiffany Johnson, $4,482 for registration and travel expenses for two employees to attend the annual GED conference
  • Facilities Services – Marty Deckard, $4,000 for a Utility Locating Receiver with GPS and Bluetooth technology

The Victoria College Foundation supports educational excellence by funding scholarships, professional development and program enhancements for Victoria College.
