Texas Sunset Landscape Painting
Victoria College’s Museum of the Coastal Bend will host three Hands on History workshops this fall, with activities scheduled for Sept. 20, Oct. 18, Nov. 25 and Nov. 26.
Texas Sunset Landscape Painting Workshop
Attendees will be able to create their own striking sunset view of Texas in this brunchtime “paint and sip” class led by Claudia Moseley, Museum Education Coordinator, on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to noon. This event is for adults ages 21 and older, and the cost is $20 per person. All supplies are provided, but space is limited. Advance registration is available at MuseumOfTheCoastalBend.org.
International Archaeology Day
Families can celebrate International Archaeology Day with the Museum and the Coastal Bend Archaeological Logistics Team on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is free and features hands-on activities for children and adults while highlighting exciting archaeological discoveries from the region.
Native American Heritage
Families seeking activities during Thanksgiving week can learn about Native American heritage during hands-on activities that celebrate the culture of Indigenous people in Texas on Tuesday, Nov. 25, and Wednesday, Nov. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. This free event includes provided supplies, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
