Johnson Symposium
Victoria College students and faculty will showcase their musical talents at three upcoming recitals.
Rachel Yi will perform on the violin alongside pianist Alber Chien on Friday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. inside VC’s Johnson Symposium. The program includes works by renowned composers Gabriel Fauré, Richard Strauss and Robert Schumann.
On Wednesday, Nov. 19, the VC Music Department will present its student recital. This showcase will include a variety of solo performances across piano, guitar, voice, brass, woodwinds and percussion. The recital begins at 7 p.m. at VC’s Johnson Symposium.
The Victoria College String Studio invites the community to an evening recital featuring solo performances by string students on violin, viola, cello and double bass. The concert will be held at Johnson Symposium beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
All three events are free and open to the public. Johnson Symposium is located in the Allied Health Building on VC’s Main Campus at 2200 E. Red River St.
