Victoria College has been awarded a $15,000 Blue Impact grant from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) through the VC Foundation, supporting Victoria College’s commitment to student wellbeing and success.

The grant will fund essential technology and furniture for VC’s Pirate Pantry and Counseling Center as these services move into larger spaces in the new Student Success Center.

Items purchased with the grant are expected to be installed and fully operational when the new facility opens in January 2026. Planned enhancements include a student check-in kiosk, networking and wiring upgrades, safety devices, relaxation seating areas, product and resource shelving, professional-grade refrigerators for perishable food, and staff workstations for meetings with students and community partners.

Since 2011, BCBSTX has awarded more than $27 million in grants to community organizations statewide, supporting programs that improve the health and wellbeing of Texas children and families.
