Victoria College to host 2026 Empty Bowls event on Feb. 8

The 2026 Victoria Empty Bowls event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8, at Victoria College’s Emerging Technology Complex.

Empty Bowls is a grassroots movement that gives communities worldwide an opportunity to support food-related charitable organizations.

Handmade ceramic bowls will cost $20 each and include soup, bread and a drink donated by area restaurants and caterers. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent, Christ’s Kitchen, Victoria Christian Assistance Ministry, Meals on Wheels South Texas and the Pirate Pantry at Victoria College.

“Empty Bowls is a powerful reminder that even a simple meal can bring a community together to care for one another,” said Angela Weaver, Empty Bowls Team Lead. “Every bowl purchased helps support local organizations that work every day to fight hunger right here in our community.”

Victoria College’s Emerging Technology Complex is located at 7403 Lone Tree Road. Find more information on the event at Visit.VictoriaCollege.edu.
