The Museum of the Coastal Bend will present The Cowboy Way: An Evening with Claude Koontz, HK Ranch on Tuesday, April 28, at 6 p.m.

The dinner-and-speaker series offers an intimate look at the enduring legacy of Coastal Bend ranching families, highlighting their dedication to land stewardship and perspectives on the future of the ranching industry. Through personal stories and firsthand accounts, attendees gain unique insight from descendants of Texas’ original ranchers.

The featured speaker for the evening is Claude Koontz, son of Henry Clay Koontz of the legendary HK Ranch. The HK Ranch is internationally recognized for its long history and influence in Brahman cattle breeding. Koontz will share family history, reflections on stewardship of the land, and thoughts on the future of ranching in Texas.
