Hands-on History at VC's Museum of the Coastal Bend
Families and history enthusiasts are invited to step back in time during Spring Break at Victoria College’s Museum of the Coastal Bend. Through interactive, hands-on activities, visitors will explore how early peoples of the Texas Coastal Bend developed survival skills and thrived in the region.
Participants can try structure building, hunting techniques, throwing spears with an atlatl, stone tool crafts for kids, pigment making, primitive jewelry making, basket weaving, and more.
Activities will be offered from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the following dates:
- Tuesday, March 10 – Atlatl Fun Day
- Saturday, March 14 – Atlatl Fun Day
- Tuesday, March 17 – All Skills Day
- Wednesday, March 18 – All Skills Day
- Thursday, March 19 – All Skills Day
Admission is free, and supplies will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
The museum is located on VC’s Main Campus at 2200 E. Red River Street in Victoria. Admission is always free, though donations are appreciated.
