Victoria College recently honored two longtime faculty members with the title of Professor Emeritus during the college’s Commencement Ceremonies on May 16.
Retired instructors Gary Hall and Jacquelyn Robinson were recognized for their years of dedicated service to Victoria College and its students. Together, the two educators contributed a combined 62 years to the college.
Hall taught English at Victoria College for 36 years, while Robinson served VC for 26 years, including 19 as an English instructor.
Victoria College established the Professor Emeritus Program in 2011 to recognize retiring professors who have served as full-time faculty members for at least 15 years and who have made significant contributions to the college’s educational mission and goals.
The professor emeritus designation honors faculty members for their commitment to academic excellence, student success and service to the college community.
