Dr. Joe Hanson
Curiosity will take center stage Wednesday, Sept. 30, when Victoria College hosts its Lyceum STEM Summit at the Victoria Fine Arts Center. The public is invited to join VC for a day of engaging presentations from Dr. Sean B. Carroll and Dr. Joe Hanson.
Carroll is an internationally recognized biologist, award-winning author, and two-time Emmy Award-winning film producer. His pioneering research has focused on the genes that control animal body patterns and play major roles in the evolution of animal diversity.
Hanson is the creator and host of “Be Smart,” a PBS science education show on YouTube. Since its launch in 2013, the series has produced more than 250 episodes, reaching more than half a billion views and 4.8 million subscribers.
The summit will feature presentations and Q&A sessions with both speakers, along with opportunities to participate in hands-on STEM activities and connect with Victoria College programs and pathways.
Attendees can participate in the full summit or choose individual sessions based on their interests and schedules.
