Susan Armstrong Cain
Susan Armstrong Cain was sworn in as a member of Victoria College’s Board of Trustees during a regular board meeting on Sept. 21.
Cain, a Victoria native and 1984 graduate of Victoria High School, was unanimously appointed by the board to the District 5 position on Sept. 14. She replaces Ron Walker, who recently resigned from the board after 41 years of service.
“I am deeply honored to be appointed to Ron Walker’s position at Victoria College,” Cain said. “His dedication and service are a true tribute to the educational values at VC. I am thrilled to join the board at such an exciting time. I look forward to learning more and contributing as a board member.”
Cain graduated from Baylor University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She previously worked for Lack’s Stores Inc. Buying Office, in Victoria and is now president and owner of Armstrong Warehouse & Transfer, a moving company, and The Back Office, a document storage and destruction company.
She has been involved with numerous community organizations and boards throughout the years, including Keep Victoria Beautiful, the Victoria Bach Festival, Bronte Club of Victoria, and the former University of Houston-Victoria President’s Regional Advisory Board.
