To join the Javelina Academies at Victoria College:

1. Complete the admissions steps for Victoria College.
2. Meet college-readiness standards*.
3. Submit the Javelina Engineering Academies application online or in-person at VC Advising Office, Suite 104 in the Student Success Center (#13 on the campus map).
4. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
5. Fulfill TAMUK admission requirements during your last semester at VC.

*Mathematics is crucial to engineering and vital in helping engineers analyze models, predict outcomes, and make informed decisions. To ensure students can enter into their math course rotations and meet prerequisite requirements for necessary science courses, TSI completion in all subject areas (Math, ELAR, writing), or equivalent testing, is required for admission. To prove college-readiness, applicants must:

• Submit qualifying Test Scores (view the VC Catalog for required state testing) or
• Schedule an appointment with the Testing Center to take the TSI Assessment.

 Students accepted to the Javelina Academies at Victoria College must maintain the following:

• Dual credit students must complete 6 credit hours per semester to maintain active status within the academy.
• High school graduates must maintain full-time enrollment status while in the academy, completing 30 hours each academic year.
• Maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA in all courses.
• Maintain a 2.5 GPA in all STEM courses.
• Meet with your academic advisor before the start of each semester.
• Attend 4 Javelina Academies approved events each semester (at least 3 must be academic events.
