Departmental Exams

Departmental exams are good only at Victoria College and cannot be used to transfer to any other college or university.

Before Your Exam: What You Need to Know
Review these guidelines before arriving at the Testing Center for a smooth testing experience.
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled exam.
- You must bring a valid physical photo ID (driver’s license, Victoria College student ID, passport, military ID, tribal ID, or state/national/province ID).
- No food, drinks, gum, cell phones, smartwatches, electronic devices, hats, sunglasses, purses, or backpacks are allowed in the testing room.
- All personal items must be left in your vehicle or stored in a designated Testing Center locker. This includes electronic devices, which must be powered off before being stored in the secure locker provided. The Testing Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Only students taking an exam are allowed inside the Testing Center. Children cannot be left unattended anywhere on campus (per the “Children on Campus” section in the Student Handbook).
- For VC exams, you are responsible for telling your instructor the date and time of your scheduled exam.
- To retake a VC exam, you must get your instructor’s approval and schedule a new appointment.
- Some non-VC exams may not be available during final exams or campus closures.
- If you need Support Disability Support Services (not including GED, SAT, or ACT), please contact the Testing Center directly for information and scheduling.

Payment & Registration Information
Contact the department's administrative assistant for scheduling information.
- $40 fee (Non-Refundable Fee)
- $15 fee to reschedule an exam before the end of business on the day of that exam (Non-Refundable Fee)
- All exams are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Some test administrations may not be available during campus closures or final exam testing.
- Please get in touch with the Testing Center in advance to confirm test date availability if you are traveling from outside Victoria County.
- The VC Payment Office is located in the Student Services Building (Building #13 on VC's Campus Map). Cash, check, or money order accepted.
Career & Technical Education Courses

After placing out of a course, students will, upon completion of the next sequential course with a grade of “C” or better, be given credit for previous courses in the sequence.
