• On Campus Informational Sessions & Workshops: Check the Victoria College Event’s Calendar to learn more about events on campus.
• Talk to People in the Field: Find people in the field you are interested in and ask them if they will meet with you to discuss their experiences. Informational interviewing can be a great way to network and learn more about the career options available. 
• Volunteer: Volunteering is a great resume builder and can expose you to various occupational settings.
• Job Shadowing: Call local businesses to ask about shadowing. See what the career is like firsthand!

WorkInTexas (WIT): In addition, we recommend WIT as a great starting place for job searching. This virtual job platform, provided by the Texas Workforce Commission, offers an abundance of opportunities throughout the state of Texas. Resources within WIT include a Resume Building Assistant and local job opportunities monitored by Workforce Solutions Golden Crescent.
